Maryland Permanent Makeup License Requirements

The state of Maryland’s Board of Cosmetologists has forbidden microblading or permanent makeup services from being performed in a salon. Read more about the prohibitions here.

However, this does not mean permanent cosmetics cannot be done in Maryland.

You will have to check with your city or county to know if they require you become licensed as a body art practitioner and that your establishment become licensed as a body art or cosmetic tattoo establishment.
