The State Environmental Health Office does not regulate or certify the Tattoo/Body Art Industry. However, most counties in Georgia have adopted their own local Body Art Ordinance.

This means anyone interested in obtaining a permanent makeup license in the state of Georgia, will have to consult with their specific county. See this map to see if your county is one of the few that doesn’t have an ordinance on body art.
